Patterns and Relationships
A pattern is something that repeats in a predictable way — like red, blue, red, blue.
- Identify the part that repeats (the *pattern core*).
- Extend a pattern by adding the next few elements.
- Create your own patterns with colours, shapes, sounds, or movements.
Patterns are everywhere: on clothing, in songs, and in the calendar. Noticing them helps you predict what comes next, which is a key math skill you will use for years.
