Measurement
Grade 2 introduces standard units.
- Measure length in centimetres and metres with a ruler.
- Compare mass and capacity, and measure area by covering a shape with equal tiles.
- Tell time to the half-hour and connect it to daily events.
Line the ruler up at zero and read carefully — small errors add up in measurement.
