- Represent patterns and relationships with tables, graphs, and algebraic expressions.
- Translate between a pattern's rule in words and its expression (e.g. "double and add 1" → *2n + 1*).
- Use the rule to make predictions.
Algebra is the language of general patterns: one expression captures infinitely many specific cases.
