Accessibility
We build iLearnSTEM Kids to be usable by as many children, parents, and teachers as possible, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox.
What we do today
- Target WCAG 2.1 AA for colour contrast and interaction.
- A reading-font preference including Lexend and OpenDyslexic (Settings).
- Full keyboard support and visible focus indicators.
- Reduced-motion support — animations collapse when your device asks for less motion.
- Semantic landmarks, ARIA roles, and screen-reader-friendly labels.
Work in progress
We continue to test with screen readers and against automated tooling. If something is hard to use, please tell us on the contact page and we’ll prioritise it.
